Tirendaz Archers In Hungary

Tirendaz Archers In Hungary

Nine members of Tirendaz Archers took part in the Bornemissza Cup that was held in the Hungarian city of Eger (25th of April 2011). The competition with over one hundred participants was held in Eger Castle, a location which has great historical importance for both Turks and Hungarians. The very successful event was organised by “Eger Vitezlö Oskala”, an established re-enactment and historical martial arts association. As with all the other contestants, Tirendaz archers were in full costume. A Local Hungarian TV station also took interest in this extraordinary, festival-like event. The Turkish team complied with the kind invitation by the Eger Dobo Istvan Museums science secretary Julia Kiraly into the  Museum. They also had the chance to tour this beautiful city. While bonds of old friendships were strenghtened, foundations for new ones were layed.
